Is Mira suitable for people with diabetes?
Mira is a scanner that helps you make informed choices about food and cosmetics — it is not a medical tool. Its nutritional assessment is built on Nutri-Score principles, adapted to the product type, and it does factor in sugar. However, Mira does not separately calculate total carbohydrates or glycemic load, so a rating does not reflect how a given product will affect your blood glucose specifically.
Because of this, where a product lands on the scale — from "Excellent" to "Bad" — should not be read as a simple yes-or-no signal for diabetes. A highly rated product may still be a poor fit for you, and the reverse is also true.
If you have diabetes or other specific medical needs, follow the guidance of your doctor or a relevant specialist. Mira does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional consultation — we help you understand what is in a product, while decisions about eating with a health condition belong with your physician.
