Does the app account for how much of a product you eat?

No. Mira doesn't work out a personal daily dose based on how much of a product you actually eat.

The app rates the quality of the product itself, not the size of your portion. That's why every rating is expressed per 100 g or 100 ml — a single, consistent basis that lets you compare products fairly.

The point of the rating is to help you keep an eye on how much you eat, not to ban anything outright. Even a product that falls into the 'Poor' or 'Bad' band isn't off-limits forever — what matters is how often and in what amounts it shows up in your diet. Some things fit into everyday eating; others are better kept occasional and in small portions.

The rating is Mira's opinion. The words 'Excellent', 'Good', 'Poor' and 'Bad' refer to the rating, not to the product itself.
